Congratulations, Brett Wallace! The gap between Major League organizations you’ve been involved with and big league home runs you’ve hit is now down to three.
Despite being moved from the Cardinals to the Athletics to the Blue Jays before finally ending up in Houston, Brett Wallace has still held onto some stature of prospectdom. Perhaps not a superstar, Wallace can add his name to the list of 106 batters who have homered off of Carlos Silva. Though Wallace only has a .564 OPS so far this season, he’s one of the few bright spots the Astros have in their future, so Houston fans better learn to love him.
Carlos Silva made his first start since returning from an abnormal heart rate and was battered like Fish and Chips for 5 innings. Silva gave up 9 hits and six runs in the loss.
The Fall - Words of Expectation (Peel Session Version)
Mark E. Smith Nuggets of Wisdom
- “Why did you take that corny stuff I love so much, and make it hip?”
- “I am here to enable everyone to say ‘yes,’ ‘no’ or ‘I don’t know,’ even.”
- “I’m proud of the way I’ve avoided prison; if we carry on like this we’ll wind up like King Crimson”
